2 Love Is 2 Forgive

The purpose of life on earth

Is to love,

Give,

And serve.

For some reason,

Offenses happen

Often,

Hush words are spoken

Without careful consideration.

Resentments become roadblocks

in communication.

Pardon must be given,

Anger must be renounced

In order for peace, love, and humanity

To be granted by Heaven.

To love

Is to forgive

Not receive!

It’s hard to love one’s enemy,

But,

The pain is NOT lessened

When hatred faces hatred.

Love obliterate

And eliminate.

Love is light,

Love is sunshine.

To love others

Is to love yourselves.

With love as the prescription

For everything,

Life is lighter,

Your smile is brighter.

Happy Saturday,
U Deserve Happiness!

So true. So much begins within...in order to love and forgive, we must first love and forgive ourselves.

Lovely poem.

I'm not sure I understand this, really. If you forgive and the person come right back and does the same thing, does forgiving just gave them permission? It seems that way. I think forgiving may only be possible when you can separate yourself from the offender. Otherwise, repeated pain keeps the wound open endlessly.

Re: ananchorage

I know what you are talking, if we don't forgive, keep firing back and forth, there will be no peace in this world...

In a family, spouses have to tolerate one another to make it a whole,
In a community, members have to follow rules, put the whole first...

To Forgive does not mean to forget, we learn and find smarter way to handle issues.....

My hubby and I grow up in the same town, but we totally disagree with so many things, as a woman, I would not argue with him publicly, and I would let him know that I disagree, but we respect, we do things in our separate ways, not to force the other side to agree or follow,

Thanks for the feedback.

Love is the most powerful weapon that ends the power of all the others, if we let it. Thanks.

Hi Jingle, I like this post. There is not room for hatred in my heart and I like your words. It is sad to watch the hateful words and constant fighting in our country which is feeding much fear.

I really enjoyed this Jingle and it is so very true. It does more harm to ourselves when we do not forgive, it only burdens us with unneeded baggage. By forgiving (not forgetting) we are able to release the negative emotions and find our own peace in love.

Beautiful!
