I love lotus flowers. Have even painted them. We can sure use those dragon flies in our area... they eat mosquitoes! Marvelously written!
I used to dread and love the tiny hum that signals the presence of a dragonfly. It means there are mosquitoes nearby, and but the little critter will do its best to get rid of as many as it can find.
I hear it now!
