Magpie Tale/Short Story Slam Week 3 on Sea

A vacation takes me to the sea,
to see what I could see;
But what I could see
was magic under the dark blue sea.
.
Walking barefoot along the shore,
I see seashells sit on the floor;
Dive in and go seaward bound,
Motion in the ocean is all around.
.
A tiny shock is what you feel
if you are touched by an electric eel;
Take notice of oysters dressing in pearls
as you admire snails wrapped in curls.
.
Seahorses jump coral reefs
while carrying NO saddle or rains in ocean waves;
Red lobsters prance,
while dolphins join the watery dance.
.
A vacation takes me to the sea,
I love what I see in the sea;
What I say is what I see,
Please join me for adventurous trip to the sea.

Really like the way you were able to pull this off. A lot of times that much spoken repetition can be a bit overkill but you nailed it. Sounds great, really like it alot:)

Fun write, and, considering that I dislike most rhyming work - tolerate it, at best - that means a lot.

I like this ... especially the third stanza ... reminds me of the OBX. Also however, reminds me of what we are thoughtlessly doing to the seas.

This just reminds me of my upcoming vacation in a couple of weeks to the Caribbean. I'll be sipping my favorite beverage under an umbrella & just relaxing (I might pen a few words of poetry too).

Fun post!
