As You Unlearn The World (Weekend Prompts in 55 Words)
School is out,
"Hurray!" Kids shout.
Forget about academic acceleration,
Time to enjoy summer vacation.
Take long naps
as thunder claps;
Block out noises and ashes
when lightening flashes;
Clear your browse history,
Delete everything,
both satisfactory and unsatisfactory;
Stop using the printer,
Restart your computer...
As you unlearn the world,
You've become a child.

Ah, childhood. Good advice, Jingle. Sometimes it is necessary to unplug and "unlearn the world."

Might be tough for some kids to leave behind the internet for a while. I think that is quite entrench in their lives now, not just for school but a part of their social activity.
A very cheerful poem and I love the last two lines too.

Hello! Sorry for the late response. Thank you for stopping by! I really do appreciate your taking the time to leave a comment...I read each and everyone of them. I hope your day is a good one and that you will come back again soon. Take care. Nelson Souzza :)
i love this. children know so much about life. i have to find wise people to remind me what life is all about, as the world has diseased me down and i, embarrassingly, seem to need reminders. children don't, and i'm really keying into this as i grow closer to my little nieces and nephews. they have their priorities in order, mostly having to do with enjoying themselves as much as they can, and being fair, or at least their version of fair:)
after all the back-to-school energy going, this reminded me warmly of how summer began:)
