Sam has been Tammy's dog ever since she was three.
Now he's gone, Tammy keeps thinking of Sam, how he wiggles his tail to greet her from school and fetches Frisbee when Tammy throws it. Not to mention the time they spent walking in the park...
Will this tomato plant help Tammy grow new hope?

I loved this , sad but also giving hope.
Yvonne.
Breaks my heart but I think a memory tree would last longer but even the tomato plant allows her to grieve with hope. Sending big hugs.....:-)
:(
Sad but filled with so much Hope !!! Just as life is sometimes. You rock !!!
I stopped by the blog and took a chance writing to. Thanx 4 the invite.
I don't think a plant could replace a dog.
Sadly elagent, with tendrils of hopeful growth.
Sadly cute. Tammy can but try!
I think it will help Tammy, even though it can't replace Sam. Good job with the prompt!
what I was looking for, thanks
that is such an innocent and sad write ...
It can. Giving and loving always help :)
This is a great story -- short but makes one ponder. And I smile that our stories both have tomato Like-oh-pen! :)
Hope springs eternal in the human breast !
Ah , the innocence of youth - so appealing !
And there's nothing wrong with trying !
sadness tinged with future hope - well done!
yes, well done. I dig it.
This piece teaches us to keep our hope and faith even when worries rock our boat:)
Yaa dear! they say belief can show miracles..sure it would ...Very nice jingle..
Wonderful, Jingle! Isn't it interesting that we both used hope as the central theme in our stories? One of the best movie quotes I know is from "The Shawshank Redemption," (a wonderful and powerful film):
"Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies."
I am always about new hope. Have a great week.
Oh, this is so sad... my daughter still misses the dog she got when she was five. He was her best buddy for a very long time...
This is cute and sad. Nice to do it in 55 words.
Regrets.. But a ray of hope always there. Have a nice day!
Your dog is cool!!
but, can't help that it passed away!! so sad!!
with warm regards

When that plant greets her at the door with its tail wagging,
then we're talking,
and when that plant looks at her with big round eyes,
then we're rocking,
When that plant wants to sing and dance, whatever the circumstance, It's time to say goodbye.
This is so touching. Brought tears to my eyes.
Jingle Belle...?
You didn't come tell me you did this?
I Loved it...Thanks
