Hearts Are Red

The gray and cold winter day
veils the bare, lonesome trees,
Horses stand still, chewing hay,
Bold fields grit their yellow teeth.
.
Houses look gloomy and brown,
Folks feel depressed and down,
When is the time to enjoy a blue sky day,
I see spring and summer coming my way.
.
Winter is plain white,
Hearts are red,
Sitcomes, cartoons, and poetry reflect minds that bright,
Hungry souls to be satisfied and fed.

Wonderful, as usual :o)

I love spring and summer...all warm and sunny! But fall and winter too has beautiful days too...When the cold, gray days linger...I look forward to the breaks of sunshine reflecting on the snow. (Winter here in Georgia doen't have a lot of snow, but I recall the wintery days in northern Wisconsin at my parent's home.

Blessings & Aloha!
Thank you for stopping by!
