55-The Rings of The PHone

Illustrator: Dorothy Grider - Image provided by flickr

Just like the ripples of water
When throwing in a stone,
The rings of the phone
make stirring sound.
Lan's heart beats
furiously
As she gives her puppy some treats
Nervously.
The phone keeps ringing,
"Woof, woof,"
Boots barks, waiting,
Lan scoops her up,
"Hello, what's up?"
"..."
What does she hear?
U tell me, dear!

Isn't that an adorable picture?

One never knows with phone calls. And there is so much trash with those 800 numbers...I have learned to check caller ID. I think that's terrible of me!

Re: Robert:

I basically worked on the image given trying to do a child's story,
when I write, I thought about her parents gone to hospital because her Mom is having a new baby, thus she is left alone at home due to emergency, she may be expecting the call from her parents, but she has fears at home alone...

Thanks for the question!
Happy Friday!

I appreciate everyone's encouragement and comments here.

Wait for the ring then listen to the tone
Is it someone special that is on the phone
It sounds like a little puppy that made the call
Why would the little guy want to talk at all
Maybe he knows how to talk by barking away
While that little guy surely made my day

enjoy Jingle and Happy Saturday to ya(+)
