Summer At Last

Lightening flashes down,
Thunders chase it all over the town,
In between, where is the clown
Who can sugarcoat the place from turning bloody brown?
.
Tornado settles
Over the shaking nettles.
Where are the policemen who can clear the road
And keep more cars from crashing with their heavy load?
.
Summer at last,
Spring is the past,
Where is the muses
Poets uses?
.
Hot waves hit home,
I am inspired to write a new poem.
As the sky goes wan, wind comes cold,
The sun rises dripping, a pot of gold.

Had I not lived back east for 6 years, I don't think I could have truly appreciated the reality of this poem. Thank you, Jingle. A good one, indeed.

you're so right, the air is cleaner and fresh...there is a particular beauty that only happens after it rains, and you captured it perfectly, jingle! glad that the sun is out in your neighborhood again :)

The dead of winter walked away
Spring only lasted for a day
But what was in store was summer instead
It knew its season would come straight ahead
Now with the fun in the water and picnics as well
Life in these times sure are swell

enjoy Jingle, HAPPY FRIDAY TO YA(+)
