I wonder
If I could ignore
The call of Fall,
Upon the golden sip
of equivocation
In her jubilant fashion,
I ponder
If I could explore
the reasons of the season
upon the fancy trip
of summer vocation.
It's Fall,
Leaves desert trees
and hit the floor;
It's Fall,
Kids grit their teeth
As SUMMER slaps shut her door.

I like the way you pictures summer slamming her door so that fall could arrive. And I wish I could write poetry like you do. :-)
Have a wonderful weekend!
And I also wish I could type! I need a computer that lets me talk instead of type the comments. I truly do use good grammar, even though that last comment would lead you to believe otherwise.
Lovely Magpie, great poem.

I just love the last line! I adore winter sun and would easily slam summer's door and try the handle just to make sure......It's true though - kids hate the end of summer.......

it's spring here!
Great Magpie, Ji ... and I visualize it all ... and leaves falling like the illustration ... and kids gritting because school is starting and summer fun is at an end. Fine work. Thanks! Saturday smiles ...
Been scrolling through your posts - nice and great images. A fun blog.
O so true Summer slams her door.
Very nice!
I love the idea of ignoring the call of fall - sometimes would be nice, or at least to delay it a bit. I like your poem very much, there's a freshness about it...
Nice Mag. Love and Light, Sender
what a nice way to say goodbye to summer time! Thanks for your comment on my Magpie!! Baseball is one of my passions and I couldn't help thinking of the Post-Season with the prompt.

Wonderful imagery! And I'm with the kids. :)
Nice Magpie, Jingle!
Kids grit their teeth--and how! Great magpie. Thank you!
P.S. How does one contact you?
This one is really great and I can, indeed, see the youngsters cringe as school bells ring and they are drawn back inside, away from the thrills of summmer.
Hi Jingle. Lovely flow. I was tired tonight so rather than focus on meaning I simply enjoyed the words as they slipped off my tongue.
You left a message on my blog about "poets Rally week 30"
Tell me more.
