Big Tent Poetry/Thursday Thinking Tank in 55 Words-Life Could Be So Unaffair

Lila cried her heart out.
Her hubby was hit by a crane
and is gone,
Leaving her and her unborn baby alone...
He had been a gentleman,
Everything was perfect in between
until the earthquake,
Now She wanted to scream,
But does that help?
Life could be so unfair,
She murmured, eyes making empty stare.

Jingle Belle
What kind of crane?
A Whooping Crane or a construction Crane?
Either way it's so delightful the way you have put this earthquake in a literary perspective.
It warms my heart.

G-man,

My English, poor me,
a construction crane in my take of course, thanks for the smiling comment.

Cheers...
Much appreciation to your sharp sense in pointing this out.

Glad to see you take it lightly, this is a fiction in many senses...

Jingle,

This is very touching. The idea of losing one's mate with a little one on the way brings tears to my eyes. This poem came to life for me.

Namaste..........cj

PS-Thanks for your comment on Six Word Fridays. I am in the process of reshaping that poem more to my natural style and will publish it on my poetry blog later.

Given the anime illustrations, this could be a non-fiction. Awesome 55.

Screaming and cursing your fate don't help, but continuing on with your life, with hope in your heart does.

Sad to know this fiction is a tragic truth for so many new mothers in Japan.

It really seems unfair. Mysteries and heartache we cannot understand on this sphere.

Nicely put with these words, Jingle!

I agree with Myrna - your poem does touch on the feelings we're all experiencing of late. Here's hoping the sadness gives way soon to something brighter.
