The Bigger Speck By Maryida Horn

Thursday Short Story Slam Week 29: Dramas and Freedom

When your heart is feeling low,
You begin to think about your shortcomings,
And under what you have to show
For your daily efforts and longings,
At this moment you are feeling very lonely,
And usually think of others prosperity,
Never think that you are an only;
Think of less fortunes surviving deeper poverty,
you'll find that the most poverty-stricken
are dreamers with determination and self-consciousness
who never of this world sicken
but continue to strive for a bigger speck.
