55 Words That Tickle Your Ribs

What did one magnet say to the other? (I find you attractive)

Why is a calendar so sad? (Its days are numbered)

What did one arithmetic book say to the other? (We've problems)

What has two arms but can't raise them? (a chair)

What did one autumn leaf say to another? (I'm falling 4 u)

Magpie Tale-Solutions Are Sought 2 Solve Problems

While people struggle to gain power,
They also taste bitterness, both sweet and sour.
When plants are abused by showers,
The Garden can barely bear any flowers.
.
Before it is too late,
I must apply my spade and rake,
And do whatever it will take,
To restore order for goodness' sake.
.
I turn the soil loose and flat,
I sow fresh seeds out,
Not sure what I will get,
But keep trying is what life is all about.
.
The soil may be irrigated by tides,
A virus may eat the heart out of my sides.
I don't know what type of plant survives
As time and nature sluice away our lives.
.
Solutions are sought 2 solve problems,
Keys are applied to unlock doors.
How a key fits into a key hole to do wonders,
It depends on concrete situations of yours.

55-The Rings of The PHone

Illustrator: Dorothy Grider - Image provided by flickr

Just like the ripples of water
When throwing in a stone,
The rings of the phone
make stirring sound.
Lan's heart beats
furiously
As she gives her puppy some treats
Nervously.
The phone keeps ringing,
"Woof, woof,"
Boots barks, waiting,
Lan scoops her up,
"Hello, what's up?"
"..."
What does she hear?
U tell me, dear!

Summer At Last

Lightening flashes down,
Thunders chase it all over the town,
In between, where is the clown
Who can sugarcoat the place from turning bloody brown?
.
Tornado settles
Over the shaking nettles.
Where are the policemen who can clear the road
And keep more cars from crashing with their heavy load?
.
Summer at last,
Spring is the past,
Where is the muses
Poets uses?
.
Hot waves hit home,
I am inspired to write a new poem.
As the sky goes wan, wind comes cold,
The sun rises dripping, a pot of gold.

55-Human Minds Buzz Like Bumble Bees

Human minds
buzz
Like bumble bees,
But human hearts
Don't beat
The way bees do.
Human thoughts have wings,
Like bees do,
But isn't it true
Bees behave
While humans believe,
get inspired by spring showers,
and use their imaginations to express themselves?
Bees leave their marks on flowers,
Human make history via humanly powers.

Z=>Zippy, A Spring Poem

As the long winter comes to an end,
Fresh air starts to stir with lovely scent.
A novel genre discloses,
While the graces collect roses.
Marvel at the magic of the becalmed seas,
And watch how their swollen waves appease.
Watch the swan swim, and the crane
Enjoys weather again,
Visualize how the sunset ray
decorates the tiring bay.
Dance each day with ZIPPY births,
Ignore rootless assumptions or guesses.

55-Misconception Costs

Everything is 'perfect' between the two, until one day, she decides to follow him for once.
And she sees him stop at his ex-girlfriend's house.
She wants revenges.
He's shocked to catch her in the arms of his best friend.
Misconception costs.
She doesn't know that he has gone to bid final goodbye, nothing more.

Monday's Child Week 2-Life Goes On

Image by Bernhard Oberdieck provided by Monday's Child

The following poem is an entry for Monday's Child prompt 2, a fresh weekly meme which encourages talented writers to create a children's story or verse in response to an image provided. Please check it out at www.childrensverse.blogspot.com for details.

*****

Tissue by tissue to a soul one grows,
As leaf by leaf the trees become trees,
Day by day, one learns and sows,
When the sun has fun seeing breeze.

.....

Seeds of hope give one wings to fly,
One either winnowed to earth or whirled to the sky.
Life goes on,
Some survive while others die.

.....

Wrinkles of a splash, on the water cease,
Body and soul, bend and stretch like these.
Elements to elements, cells to cells,
Individuals to individuals, dream for peace.

.....

Feel the coolness when cool winds blow,
Listen to the music when the lure vibrates with its bow.
Giggle baby alike while enjoy the nature's show,
Mark down your innocence when the days are covered with snow.

I Silently Sing Along (Idyl)

The Perfect Poet Award
4 Thursday Poets Rally week 24

She enjoys looking at me,
I wink at her mischievously;
She serves me a cup of hot tea,
I sit and sip favorably;
She plays a classical song,
I silently sing along;
She paints a spring garden,
Including my favorite pattern;
And she bakes me bread thereof,
I swallow some, feeling the warmth of her love.

55-Someone Is Following Her!

On a cold and dark evening, she pushes her baby stroller, walking home.

Someone is following her.

Her heart races, daring not to look back.

Arriving at the stairway, she stops, hurrying to take her baby.

Just as she is about to scream, she hears a male's voice:

"I know you're scared, I'm your neighbor."
