Sunday Prompts-Love Is Like A River

Love is like a river,

One dreams of it forever;

Wheat dreams of being French bread,

Muses dream of being magpie tales that are widely read,

Love is like a river,

A kiss does really matter;

Rains make love swell,

Getting wet will make passion dwell.

love in the rain, sets a tone:
gentle rain or stormy, equally erotic.

I like the mood and feel of this poem; love and rain and water go together so well..The line about the kiss resonates especially.

Thanks for putting in a plug for the dreams of wheat. It has taken too much flack by all the carb haters. A great take on the prompt.

Love and rain, warmth and coolness a combination that can be most romantic. It can well trigger off pleasant memories of those young carefree days.

Very nice ~~ Love is like a river, dreams, kisses and the rains. All melded together for pleasant thoughts in your nice poem.

I too enjoyed wheat dreaming of being french bread. (surely a more high position than something such as cream of wheat!) Nice poem all around. Interesting way of combining all prompts.

A sweet happy take on many aspects of love.

Hmmm... I see a bunch of rather subtle but sexual imagery here. (French, river, swell, getting wet). I am not saying you are a purveryor of pervesion, far from it. On the contrary, I love a poem that can be very sweet but in its shadow also lies a passionate heat.

Title in itself speaks volumes :)

Nice read !!!

Cleverly done. The sideways approach leaves the reader slightly wondering where it's going. The final two lines are inspirational. Sideways and resolving!

This one reminds me of myself, when I enjoyed the rain just as much!

Have you watched the MTV awards prizes?
if yes whether you agree with all the awards, or something you think was unfair?
