Hear the whispers descend
from the glittering sky,
No scowling winkles
the tiring pool,
No true love succeeds
without struggling to follow the rule,
A mother's love
is always decent and true,
The stars seem shy
when leaning down to smell apple pie,
The town hall leers
its torn shelves,
Heavy cars try
to lose weight
by sending homes
of those absent-minded elves.
We just had a beautiful winter, cloudless sky, was so lovely to see all the stars twinkling. :)
The stars seem shy - a wonderful choice of words that will stay with me for a long time.
You have a beautiful blog here.
Enjoyed your poem too.
Lovely poem, I enjoyed your line- The stars seem shy
"The stars seem shy" I just love that! Just beautiful!
I have to agree with everyone else, 'The stars seem shy,' caught me as well. And isn't that what they look like as they twinkle up in the heavens? Like they're quickly hiding every time we look up at them and then coming out from behind the darkness to twinkle brightly at us once again. I loved it. Thanks so much for sharing. Blessings
Awwww....this is so tender. I connect with the 'struggling' part!
Nice poem, expecially the last line...
Thanks for coming by
What a pretty page, my friend!
We have to look hard to find some stars but yours shines brilliantly as usual, very nice.
I love this poem. "A mother's love
is always decent and true" Beautifully said and expressed.
